Hypnotherapy for addiction
Hypnotherapy – the key to a life without addictions.
Hypnotherapy for Addiction: Time to break free
Addictions, whether to smoking, drinking, drugs, or gambling, often start not as choices for pleasure but as escapes, but hypnotherapy for addiction can help.. They begin as coping mechanisms—a way to deal with emotions, stress, or peer pressure. Initially, they might seem like solutions, offering temporary relief or a sense of belonging. Yet, over time, the reasons behind these choices fade into the background, leaving only the habit, deeply ingrained and often destructive.
Hypnotherapy for addiction – The Emotional Roots of Addiction
Behind every addiction lies a complex web of emotions and experiences. Stress, anxiety, unresolved emotional pain, and the human need for connection can lead us down paths we never intended to follow. Addictions often mask deeper issues, serving as a patch for emotional wounds that never properly healed. Peer pressure during school years or the quest for acceptance can also initiate habits that persist long into adulthood, becoming part of our identity despite their harmful effects.
Hypnotherapy for addiction – Understanding to Overcome
Acknowledging addiction as a symptom rather than the core problem is crucial. It’s a signal that something within needs attention and care—something that no amount of substances or behaviours can truly mend. The journey to overcoming addiction is not just about breaking a habit; it’s about healing the person behind the habit.

“I was a long term smoker for over 40 years. Paul treated me in July 2018 for smoking and I am pleased to advise that from that date I have been a non smoker.
I owe a great debt to Paul as his methods are a great and refreshing way to stop smoking for good.
I would therefore urge anyone suffering with anxiety, phobias or addictions to seek the assistance of Paul without delay.”

Hypnotherapy for addiction - online or in-person?
Control and Change Hypnotherapy had been working for four years in the Medway Kent from three sites in Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, when the pandemic hit. Although doing online appointments for addiction was possible, most were in-person.
During the pandemic addiction rates rose and clients came online from Rochester, Canterbury, Faversham, Whitstable, Sittingbourne, Gravesend, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, London, Brighton and overseas.
Since then, seeing a hypnotherapist and having hypnosis for addiction has been an interesting mix, 60/40 in favour of online. Quick, effective and permanent change, followed by ongoing support has turned the tide on the pain and disruption of addiction.
